PYO’s spring program pairs an intimate concerto with one of the choral-orchestral repertoire’s greatest achievements. Rising cellist Andres Sanchez-Linares (PYO ‘ 22), a Curtis Institute of Music and New England Conservatory alumnus and First Prize Winner of the 2026 Sphinx Competition, is the soloist in Schumann’s introspective Cello Concerto. The concert concludes with Verdi’s towering Requiem, featuring Academy of Vocal Arts alumni as vocal soloists  alongside the Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia.
