Under the direction of Maestro Louis Scaglione, the musicians of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra will return to Verizon Hall for their 83rd Annual Festival Concert on Sunday, June 4th at 3:00pm.
The concert opens with Flourishes and Dreams, a work written by PYO alumnus Sheridan Seyfried, for the occasion of PYO’s 80th anniversary. Featured on the program is PYO alumnus and double bassist, Ranaan Meyer, in a performance of his own composition, Concerto for My Family. The performance concludes with Berlioz’s dramatic Symphonie Fantastique.
